The McCarty family was so fun! We met for family pictures this past Monday on the first real cold day of the fall. Up until this point the fall clothes were more decorative than necessary. Today it was all necessary!
The kids did great and so did Mom and Dad! I always let my parents know that they more they play and have fun the more the kids will too. Playing leads to actual emotions which is much more likely to be cherished for years to come.
I make sure to capture both kinds of images in my sessions. I want the posed images for grandma and but I also want the playful expressions so that when Mom glances at them on a hard day she will remember this moment. Some days are hard and long. But these are the moments you will to hold on to on those days.
Cooper is three and all boy. Wild and free are pretty good descriptions of him! I suggested we play instead of the traditional posing and it works most times. Up high, swinging, jumping, high fives, tickles, kisses led to some A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E pictures.
Harper is a first grader. She is sweet and beautiful and of so patient with her little brother! I love that we captured images of her twirling her new dress and being held by her parents. Those days don’t last too long as I’m barely lifting my fourth grader these days and it happened when I wasn’t even looking!
So many pictures I love from this family session but I have to say I hope these find their way into frames…
