Today I booked a maternity session in studio and I’ve been reminiscing on past sessions of mine and making a list wish of what I want to capture with this first time Mama. If you know someone who is pregnant and is interested in capturing this special time in her life let them know about me 🙂 I hear all the time about Mamas regretting not capturing this time. Because once your “done done” you can’t go back and do it again.
I don’t have pictures of myself at that time that make me feel beautiful and strong that celebrated what my body could do. Yet when someone runs a race (even a 5K) the celebrate that their body was able to do it. Pregnancy is no joke and it changes you mentally and physically. I wish I would have celebrated the effort it took. It probably would change how I think about my body now.
All I have is a picture captured by my labor and delivery nurse before I changed into my gown. I think it’s more of “it’s over” picture than a celebrating my body’s amazing ability to nurture and carry 3 BIG beautiful babies full term. Three babies in four years and I was done. That season of my life is over and there are very few pictures to remember it. Let me help you celebrate you!
Now I should say that this beautiful Mama is pregnant again with her third. But not due until September! So if you know her don’t message her about she has really popped with this pregnancy. She is actually in the in between stage where her clothes are tight but she doesn’t quite have the pregnant look yet. In her words, “It’s the worst!”. The ideal time to have your maternity pictures taken is between 32-36 weeks unless you are carrying twins or have a reason to believe you’ll deliver prematurely. The ideal time to schedule maternity pictures is right around the beginning of the second trimester. To Pick a Plan that works best for you click [Here]
